Why do you need a Home Inspection???

The purchase of your next home is probably the largest investment you will make and it pays to know the present condition of the property before you purchase. If you are planning to sell your home an inspection will give you a better understanding of conditions which may be discovered by the buyer’s inspector, and an opportunity to make repairs that will put the house in a better selling condition.

No home is perfect, but being informed on the condition of the property during the transaction can put you in a better position in the negotiations process. The inspection is an assessment of the present condition of the major systems in the home.

Professionalism:

Every home inspection by A1 Ski Home Inspection covers all the major building systems and follows the Standards of Practice as specified by the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI). There are ten major systems with over 800 items that are checked during each inspection; see What We Inspect: Exterior and Interior.

Your inspection includes: an easy to understand 15 page Inspection Report in plain English and a one page summary of deficiencies. A phone consultation is included with the report providing you with the opportunity for clarification on any report items.

Value:

The average cost of a home in the year 2000 in Summit County was $330,266. The cost of a home inspection ranges from $145 to $270, which is .04% to .08% of the home cost. Estimates for inspections are free of cost and can usually be completed by phone.

The home inspection usually lasts approximately two to four hours, depending on the home size, age and features, and will include accessing all safe areas of the home including the attic, roof, crawl space and operating equipment. Each room in the home, the exterior and the grounds will be inspected to ASHI Standards of Practice.

Let twenty years of inspection experience, training and craftsmanship work for you and your clients. For an unbiased opinion on the general condition of your home and peace of mind call us.
